On June 5, 2013 the FAA implemented the RNAV at Boston Logan Airport's runway 33L. Overnight, a minority of households in each of the BWFS communities went from a peaceful living to a noise nightmare.
Originally started by a Belmont citizen and named QuietBelmont, a few years later the group morphed into Boston West Fair Skies to include all communities affected by 33L RNAV.
At official level, each of the communities in BWFS - Arlington, Belmont, Cambridge, Malden, Medford, Somerville & Watertown have an MCAC representative. At citizens level we are organized via a Google Group. We also have a FB page.
Monday June 28, 6:00 p.m. EDT Zoom meeting - final update on MIT 33L RNAV study.
Presenter: Myron Kassaraba, Belmont's MCAC Representative
